We still use old Tomoe River paper in our notebooks.
It's been a childhood dream to create a leather-bound journal just like our grandfather had produced using old school techniques once upon a time. The idea was to craft a leather notebook that was functional, minimalist, with excellent quality paper and superior binding that wouldn't come undone after just a few uses.
We couldn't help ourselves. We've created handmade leather notebook covers, and even ventured into the world of fountain pens with our new collaborative Kaweco Fountain Pen. So it was only a matter of time before we started crafting our very own line of leather-bound notebooks and journals!
And what beauties they are (or so we humbly think). But don't just take our word for it. The intitial response from our fans about our leather diaries has been wildly positive and abound with excitement.
We've been hard at work on this dream for the past year developing what you now will be able to hold in your own hands. Our handmade leather notebooks are crafted with master-detail and feature a flat-lay, sturdy binding, magnetic case, Tomoe River Paper and splitted special leather. These notebooks make excellent leather diaries for avid writers, journalers and note-takers who love the soft feel of leather in their hands. They even make great leather bound journals for men!
These leather notebooks are available in two signature distressed colors: crazy horse brown and crazy horse forest green. You can purchase them in 3 sizes: B6, A6 and A5.
