Leather Zippered 10 Slots Pen Case - C.H. Ocean Blue

As my fountain pen collection has grown I wanted a case that would allow me to carry a reasonable number of pens while at the same time protecting then from the rough an tumble of transportation.

The Galen Leather 10 pen case is fantastic. Ten pens is a good number. Not too few and not too many. The zipper is solid and it means that there is no chance of anything falling out once zipped. The flaps prevent the pens from scratching each other when closed.

Most typical pens fit fine. However, some pens (e.g. Jinhao 9019 ) are just too large and interfere with the flap which in turn interferes with the zipper.

I ordered two cases in brown leather with embossing. The pen cases were available from local retailers at the same price but without the embossing. I ordered two at the same time because I was concerned about the vagaries of dye lots and the hassle of international shipping. The shipping was great. Galen Leather manufactured and shipped the cases out much faster than claimed. I had my cases about a week after ordering.

However, the dye lot vagaries were there anyways. The two cases have noticeably different shades of brown. This was the only disappointment with my order. Each case independently is lovely and without putting the two side by side one would never know.

Don’t waste money on a cheaper pen case. This is money well spent for the quality and craftsmanship and service!

I ordered purple because it's more unique than normal leather. Overall, I really like this product.
The leather is pretty good, the fabric is great, and the zipper moves very smoothly.
The reason I posted the pictures together is that I know that different people and I have different tastes, but there are some regrets about the case. Usually, small fountain pens will be put in and closed in the case without any problems, but those with a larger size will definitely find it too much. Pilot's regular pens are fine, but 823 is too much, Sailor's KOP is too much, and Platinum pens are usually thin and small... OPUS88 or Leonardo momento zero-class or Monblanc 149 is also too much. First of all, the length is a little short. The space when it is closed is a little too much. I think it would be great if the length or width increased by 1cm.
Sure....it's okay if you put in a decent set of pens that aren't big, but it's still too much to put all 10 of them in and lock them. You can tell from my picture, but I was worried that the pen would break when I saw the picture I took it closed. It was so full ^^

The 10 slot leather case is well made, neat stiching, and quality leather. Holds my pens securely. If I had to add a minor suggestion that would be to make the case a slight bit longer and wider. Repeat customer. I love your products.

Beautiful and functional case for my small fountain pen collection.

This is the second 10 slot Galen Leather pen case I own (Forest Green). I bought he first one 3 years ago and has aged beautifully (Horse Smoky), except for the suede leather inside where some air bubbles have appeared. Despite this, it is still my favorite because it is very well sewn and the bubbles don't really affect its functionality at all. I don't care, I love it.

The case looks and feels very premium. The fading/washed look is really done well. The only down side is that the fit for some of my larger pens is quite tight. But that's on me because I didn't read the specs.

The case itself is stunning, and is very well made. The three stars is because it is very tight. I did not have the case full and the pen I had were not thick pens but it had to be pushed down to close and you could see it was pulling with what was inside. The pic they show it filled with Pelikans, Duofolds, and similar, but knowing how it worked for me, that would not close very well. Now the pens fit in the bands, but it doesn't want to close. I had to do a little rearranging to get the pens a bit more comfortable in the case.
