This sea snail is prized by craftsmen—so beautiful is its shell that working its nacre has become an art on its own.
This particular shade of blue is nothing short but a treat, it’s a more subdued hue than I thought it would be; and it’s a more feminine color. It isn’t a very wet writer (I used it in my Pilot Metro with a Fine nib) I write with kokuyo paper, and there was a slight feathering but nothing offensive. Overall a well behaved ink, in a beautiful color.
How to describe this ink?? it’s pen candy! The shading is amazing. The blue base, with pink and grey shading is mesmerizing. It is a well behaved ink, Not too wet not too dry. Looks gorgeous in Medium and larger nibs where you can really see the colors. Very hard to get, so grab it if you can. You won’t be sorry.
I have three Troublemaker inks including Abalone. The color is a muted blue green with blue and purple shading that makes it very intriguing. Compared to Sailor Manyo Ha Ha, Abalone is notably greener and darker. I have it inked in a TWSBI Eco with a broad nib, and it has a juicy, supple flow. Very nice ink that is appropriate for a variety of uses.
