Story
This pen holder inspired by Danish designer Jens Quistgaard's designs. Known with his famous teak pepper grinders. We love his style, minimalist clean designs. Actual wooden tool comb designed by our founder, Fikret Zeynep, who passed away in 2019. So each design, each piece at Galen, has a different meaning for us.Customer Reviews
I recently purchased both a leather pen case and a wooden comb pen holder. While I am very satisfied with the quality of the leather pen case, I had an unfortunate experience with the wooden comb pen holder. Upon receiving it, I noticed that some of the holes were filled with glue. Concerned about potential damage to my pens, I reached out to customer service to ask for advice on how to safely remove the glue.
To my surprise, Yunus, the founder responded by insisting that no glue is used in the production of this item, despite the fact that the rubber feet are clearly glued on. After that, my follow-up messages were ignored, and I received no further assistance.
This lack of support and denial of a clear issue has left me deeply disappointed. Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing from this store again. If you want to avoid similar frustrations, I would recommend being cautious when buying from here.
I received my pen stand today and am impressed with the quality of the item. The wood has a rich look and feel that is a perfect match for my pen collection. The holes are a good size and hold a Montblanc 149 snugly but not so big that smaller pens flop around. It has a great shape that is reminiscent of the Montblanc logo, so its a great stand for collectors of Montblanc pens.
Keeps my mildliners and colored pens organized and easily accessible.

I am delighted with this device! it holds a variety of pens/tools in a small space, providing efficient storage for little cost in desktop real estate. The workmanship is superb, and it is quite pleasing to the eye. Some reviews take issue with the interior of the holes being rough. In my case, they are not sanded down as smooth as the outside of the tool comb, but they are in no way too rough for storing the pens I treasure. I do not own a fountain pen I would not store in this device, and I own own very expensive pens. I may well buy a second one of these!
I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase this! The wood is gorgeous and my Kaweco’s fit perfectly! Lovely extra goodies as always from Galen and incredibly fast shipping!
Why this is called a tool “comb,” I have no idea. It is a compact, well-made holder that can easily be used for fountain pens. Mine houses my collection of Kaweco pens - an idea I got from the photos on Galen Leather’s website. If my Kaweco collection expands (and it probably will!), I’ll be back to buy another tool comb.
This was perfect -- exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. I use it exclusively for my Retro 51 pens, which fit great and don't rub on the sides. Arrived extremely quickly too!

Most of the items are handmade to order and usually take a minimum of 1-2 weeks to dispatch. Out of stock items mean, not in the production cycle and generally re-stocking in a few weeks. Shipping
We ship worldwide. All items are sent via our shipping partners UPS/Fedex. Your items may need to be signed for upon receipt.
Due to security reasons, we cannot ship to PO boxes.
Some items are ready for shipment in our workshop, located in Istanbul. In stock items dispatch within 6-7 working days after payment has cleared using our shipping partners, UPS & FedEx. If the item is not in stock, then we will need to make your order.
Deliveries to USA addresses will take 3-4 days. For the UK and Europe, 2-3 days. To Australia, 6-7 days. For the rest of the world, expect a maximum of 7 working days. Plus production times.
- Buyers are responsible for customs duties. There are no additional taxes for goods being delivered to the USA.
- European Union : New rules after 1 July 2021; we charged VAT for orders up to 150€. It means no hidden or extra customs fees during the delivery. Orders more than 150€ subject to customs same as before.
- UK : Orders are subject to VAT. Around %20 percent. + courier fees.
- Brazil: Due to high taxes, we suggest to use a redirecting service like Regarding redirecting services, I've been using fishisfast.com
- Most countries, except the USA, are subject to VAT (value added tax) and customs duties. These are the responsibility of the recipient. Since rates vary by country and by what was ordered.

Returns - Cancellations
- Items (except personalized items) can be returned for a full refund within 7 days of receipt. Buyer is responsible for the Shipping costs. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have before placing an order.
- Due to all items are made to order, after receiving your order, we immideatly start to make your items. We don't accept cancellations/changes after orders placed.
