Crazy Horse Forest GreenDistressed dark green color showing under-tones of light green, sacramento and emerald. Ages and softens quicker compared to regular leather. Suede feeling finish.
DESCRIPTION:
The left panel features 3 credit card sized pockets, one small separator and a wider pocket that's useful for small accessories.
We've also included a special pen loop that's made from 60% leather and 40% hidden elastic, allowing for any pen or pencil to fit. It doesn't matter if it's a Caran Dache 849 or a Pelikan 1000 fp.
The right panel has a leather pocket with a sturdy YKK zipper and another hidden pocket underneath for extra storage space.

This was my first experience buying from this wonderful shop. My order was processed quickly and shipping was faster than I anticipated it would be, and even though we've had issues receiving deliveries via Fed Ex in the past, this order was as smooth as my new leather notebook cover and wallet insert. :) I've only just set up my notebook and wallet (both undyed leather) but I know this will be something I will treasure for decades to come. The leather is very good quality with the edges nicely finished. And I love that the wallet has a stretchy (but still made of leather) pen loop attached. This wallet is high quality and will last me a very long time. I would definitely buy from this shop again in the future.
The wallet is very difficult to use, unless held very awkwardly/unnaturally, the zip is impossible to open - clearly a design flaw and I would suspect a change from what is show in the pictures in order to save money .
On the website pictures the beginning of the zipper is folded down and anchored in the wallet so when you pull the zipper pull it doesn't move with your movement and opens, on the wallet I received the zipper isn't anchored into the wallet so it will not allow me to open it without holding it in a very unnatural position essentially mimicking what the anchoring does!
Before contacting Galen Leather, I searched and found video reviews of the wallet where all of them had the zipper anchored. I also recorded a video to show what I meant.
I will not bore you will all the details of the emails back and forth but essentially he ignored the issue and told me to put wax on the zip or sell it on!!
Totally unacceptable to me, first of all, the zip wasn't tough so wax would not have helped (I think he purposefully missed the point here as it was VERY clear in my video what the issue was) and suggesting I sell on a faulty product, a product he clearly doesn't stand behind as he wouldn't exchange (or as I later requested, refund) tells me everything I need to know about the company.
I will NEVER buy another product from Galen and I will NEVER recommend them to anyone - I will however, warn people about their product issues and the absolute lack of trust in their own products (if he thought he could sell it on, why not take it back and refund me?) and on top of it all, AWFUL, absolutely AWFUL customer 'service'.
I ended up going to my bank and raised a dispute (which I won).
It took way longer than usually as my bank said it was a difficult company to deal with.
This insert is absolutely beautiful. Dark green color with plenty of pockets for storage. Patina is coming along nicely and I can't wait for it to reach it's true form. I have a bourdeux colored Kaweco pen that is the perfect accessory. Built to last and brings me so much joy!
I intended to use my insert with my Galen leather passport size cover. I realized that the insert is just the perfect cover itself. I modded it to use the rubber strings and use as my standalone cover. It works brilliantly. Not too small and fits at least two inserts.
Love, love this wallet insert for my passport journal. It goes everywhere with me - housing cards and money.

I purchased the wallet insert to be used as a small passport journal cover. Super light weight, small, with a pen holder and room for any other journal essentials. It has both form and function. The leather is perfect. I give it 5 Stars.
I've been using this for a few months now and over time it's adapted to my needs and become an essential item of everyday equipment. I have 3 notebooks in it, my pen, cards and bits and bobs in the zipped purse. Pretty much everything I need while out and about. I love the colour and feel of the leather. It's a quality product.

Shipping
We ship worldwide. All items are sent via our shipping partners UPS/Fedex. Your items may need to be signed for upon receipt.
Due to security reasons, we cannot ship to PO boxes.
Some items are ready for shipment in our workshop, located in Istanbul. In stock items dispatch within 6-7 working days after payment has cleared using our shipping partners, UPS & FedEx. If the item is not in stock, then we will need to make your order.
Deliveries to USA addresses will take 3-4 days. For the UK and Europe, 2-3 days. To Australia, 6-7 days. For the rest of the world, expect a maximum of 7 working days. Plus production times.
- Buyers are responsible for customs duties. There are no additional taxes for goods being delivered to the USA.
- European Union : New rules after 1 July 2021; we charged VAT for orders up to 150€. It means no hidden or extra customs fees during the delivery. Orders more than 150€ subject to customs same as before.
- UK : Orders are subject to VAT. Around %20 percent. + courier fees.

Returns - Cancellations
- Items (except personalized items) can be returned for a full refund within 7 days of receipt. Buyer is responsible for the Shipping costs. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have before placing an order.
- Due to all items are made to order, after receiving your order, we immideatly start to make your items. We don't accept cancellations/changes after orders placed.
